Motivational Minute – The Control Tower

Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 (NRSV)

Hi, I’m Laura Lacey Johnson.

When an airplane takes off, it needs help from the control tower.

In the control tower, specialists have a unique vantage point and can help pilots know what’s flying above or below their aircraft. The control tower helps pilots know weather conditions that can change flight plans and give pilots the information they couldn’t have known otherwise.

The Bible is like a control tower.

We often have a limited vantage point, but Scripture can communicate insight about what’s going on in the spiritual realm that we can’t see.

Hebrews 4:12 (NRSV) says, “the word of God is living and active … it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Most of us need all the clarity we can get.

Have you opened God’s word for guidance today?
