“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” Hebrews 10:24 (NIV)
Hi, I’m Laura Lacey Johnson.
The other day, my family and I were talking about sports teams and their mascots.
And I got to thinking about my son’s favorite basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs.
A spur is a metal tool worn on the heels of cowboy boots; its purpose is to nudge a horse in a specific direction.
From time-to-time, everyone needs a nudge in the right direction.
Sometimes it’s a pat on the back, or a well-timed word of encouragement, or even a gentle push to get someone out of their comfort zone and into their God-given destiny.
Hebrews 10:24 (NIV) says: “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
Chances are, there’s someone in your life right now who needs a nudge.
Spur them on today.
