Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 (ESV)
Hi, I’m Laura Lacey Johnson.
Sunflowers are fascinating plants.
They get their name because they point their face to follow the sun.
Sunflowers turn East when the sun rises, and they look West when the sun sets.
Sunflowers give us an example of what God designed our lives to do.
We’re made to follow the light of God’s son – Jesus.
In John 8:12 (ESV), Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Many of us right now feel like we’re in the dark because the future seems uncertain.
While following Jesus doesn’t eliminate the uncertainties we face, fixing our eyes on Him helps us trade the unknowns for the assurance that He knows us and will never leave us.
