Scripture Passage: Psalm 56:3 ESV
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
What’s your biggest fear right now?
Hi, I’m Laura Lacey Johnson.
Years ago, my mom taught me a valuable lesson when I told her about one of my fears.
She could see I was spiraling into despair and wisely introduced me to Philippians 4:8.
The verse encourages us to intentionally think about what is true, noble, right, pure, excellent, and admirable.
She wasn’t denying the realities of my fear, but there in the kitchen, she helped me understand I can either feed my faith OR my fear.
Today, if you want to starve your fear and feed your faith, consider memorizing Scripture.
Start with Psalm 56:3 ESV, which says, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.”
