Is Your Faith Dead or Alive?

Scripture Passage: James 2:15-17 ESV

If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food,  and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Is your faith dead or alive?

The apostle James says there’s an easy way to find out.

Hi, I’m Laura Lacey Johnson.

Faith that is living and breathing proves itself in practical ways.

In James 2:15-17 ESV, we read:

“If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also, faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

In other words, our faith comes alive when we show compassion to others in practical ways.

How can your faith come alive today?

You may find that when you lift the burdens of others, your own burdens get lifted, too.
