“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5
Hi, I’m Laura Lacey Johnson.
A couple of years ago, I needed a tall ladder for a painting project. But before I climbed up, I made sure the ladder was leaning securely against a wall that would support my weight.
The project got me thinking.
Everyone one of us has an imaginary ladder.
We lean our ladder against what we hope will hold us up. But some things were never meant to sustain us. We’ve all seen how life can come crashing down when we lean on the economy, a political party, health, money, or relationships.
Proverbs 3:5 (NASB) says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.”
So, what are you leaning on today?
Only Jesus can sustain the weight of our lives. Trust Him today.
