What Captures God’s Attention?

Scripture Passage: Matthew 25:31-46

“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’” Matthew 25:45 NLT

What captures God’s attention?

Everything.

But how we treat others, never goes unnoticed.

Hi, I’m Laura Lacey Johnson.

In Matthew 25, Jesus told a story about a king who didn’t let some people into His Kingdom. The reason?

They refused to help him when he was hungry, thirsty, homeless, shivering, sick, and in prison.

Confused, the people asked the king, “when did we ever see you like that and not help?”

Revealing the king’s identity, Jesus said, “When you refused to help the least of these, you were refusing help to me.”

Showing compassion for others is one of the best ways to demonstrate our love for God.

In doing so, God sees a connection most of us miss.

That is, our compassion for others reveals our commitment to Him.
